    So what are lace wigs?

Lace wigs are full wigs with mesh lace attached on your head from the front beyond the "hairline" of the wig that is custom fitted, trimmed, and temporarily glued or taped to ones skin around the hairline. You could hardly see where the lace starts or ends,it appears as ones own hair and also you could part the wig with a natual parting most of the times.

All of the wigs(inculding full lace wigs and lace front wigs) are usually custom made according to your head measuremnts but can also be purchased pre-made,which is a stock wig.Normally the factory needs about 3 weeks to make a wig.But we have always keeping more than 5000 pieces lace wigs in stock that could ship them immediately!

The worker need to tied the hair onto the lace strand by strand,so it will give you a flesh-toned and very natual looking, which seems the hairs growning out of your own scalp.

These wigs are seen on television, movies, and stageplays quite often.  Many of todays hottest celebrities are wearing them from Beyonce, Tyra Banks, Patti LaBelle, Mary J Blige, and even Jennifer Hudson!  These wigs were very big in the movies Dream Girls and White Chicks where the Wayans Brothers played two beautiful women and wore blonde wigs.  Yes, they were lace wigs!

These wigs are perfect for hairloss patients, women in the entertainment industry, or any woman who just wants a change without dealing with the stress on their own hair.  Imagine getting beautiful hilites without damaging your hair, or even a hair cut without cutting your hair!  A Lace Wig can work wonders for you!  The versatility these wigs provide is unmatched.  They are so versatile that they can even be pulled into high ponytails without showing that its not your own hair!

Difference between full lace wigs and front lace wigs

Full lace wigs(also called whole lace wigs) are designed with entire wig cap being made from lace, the whole cap is hand tied with hair one strand by one strand, full lace wigs allow you to wear your hair in high updos or ponytails.Upon applying and adhering the lace wig,a natural and undetectable hairline is created.

    Hair Origins

Hair origin refers to the original state of hair before any chemical processing such as coloring or texturing is performed, and is distinguishable by subtle to pronounced differences. Hair origins are chemicaly altered to achieve various straight to curly hair textures. All of our hair is remy, which means the cuticle layers face the same direction, which mininimizes tangling and shedding.

Indian Virgin is the origin from which Indian Remy hair is derived. This hair origin is most popular because the hair is plentiful, relatively inexpensive, can be colored and permed with curls or waves and the hair will retain its tensile quality, which enables the wig to last sometimes for years.

Chinese Virgin is the origin from which Chinese Remy hair is derived. This hair origin is also very popular because the hair is very strong and can withstand double processing with texture plus very light coloring.

Malaysian hair is dark brown with warm brown natural tones. Asian in origin, the hair is strong and silky, which makes it a good choice for wavy and curly textures, as well as light coloring.

Brazilian hair is dark brown to black. It is also strong, with a less shiny appearance. It is a good choice for yaki or coarse textures. Also colors well.

    What are bleach knots´╝č

Bleached knots help make the hair appear as if it is growing from the scalp. When hair is tied to the lace, there is a dark knot where the hair is secured. Bleaching or "lightening" the knots reduces the visibility of this knot. On off black (1B) and dark brown hair, the knots are lightened to a light brown shade. Very light brown and blonde and shades usually do not need bleached knots. It is not possible to bleach knots on jet black (#1) hair, and is very difficult to bleach knots on 1B hair.

Some customers request the knots to be bleached on the entire lace front wig. While this is common for men's toupees, the hair on a toupee is shorter and is not subjected to as much stress or friction from styling. Lace front wigs are typically made of longer hair, which is often manipulated with fingers, combs or brushes. Bleaching the knots on the entire unit leads to premature, and sometimes excessive, shedding because the bleached knots are weaker. So we do not bleach the knots on the entire lace wig.

    Lace Types

You have a choice between French Lace and Swiss lace. Both are lightweight and very popular. The French lace is available in various colors and is more durable as well. The lace base is a very important choice to make. First timers should use French lace wigs since Swiss lace requires a lot more care and attention to maintain.

    Hair Length Chart

This chart will give you a good idea of where a particular hair length may lay on you.  Please keep in mind this is just an example.  If you are 5'7 -5'8 tall, it should lay approximately where it shows on the chart.  However, if you are shorter, then it may actually lay longer on you.  Body structure will determine where it will lay on you exactly.  You may measure from your scalp down at any area of your head to get an idea of where it will lay as well.  The hair is all measured from root to hair end.

Please Note:  If you are ordering a curly wig, the hair length can be drawn up approximately 2-3" from the curl depending on how tight it is.  For waves, it can draw up approximately 1-2".  Therefore, you may wish to order a little longer for curly or wavy textures to accommodate the drawing up of the hair and to achieve the full length desired.

    Hair Density

Hair density(Or hair thickness) refers to how much hair is used on the wig cap to create fullness. The perception of density determined is by the type of hair used and how it is styled. For example, curly hair and hair spray creates more volume and fullness. Curly, wavy and kinky textured hair expands when combed out and appear thicker. Very straight hair textures have less volume and fullness. Therefore, two wigs with the exact hair density will have different volume appearance based on the hair style and texture.

For the most natural look, select a density that is close to your own. Medium density is the average choice (100%-120%). It is advised to have more hair than less because it can always be thinned out. Medium density hair also accommodates normal shedding from daily grooming. Wigs with density less than 80% are not recommended because they need to be repaired more quickly.
